Here's my first artwork for [info]paintedspires (Four weeks! I've been sitting on this for four weeks. That must've earned me at least a dozen Zen points.)
Prompt: the Wraith, and "Ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" and/or "You got to dance with the one what brung you." (with thanks to [info]mecurtin)

Oh, that's awesome! I've been loving Ronon and Todd since the season finale, and this really captures them. I like how their bodies are poised, as if they're just about to leap into action. The colouring is also beautiful. :)

Glad you like it. When I read this prompt, I immediately flashed back to Todd and Ronon's final stand in TLM... there's something poetic about that scenario.

Wow. I mean...wow.

For some reason the thing I like most is the way Ronon blends in with his environment and the Wraith seem sort of other-worldly and out of place. (Um, at least to me. Black leather and startlingly white hair tend to stick out, I suppose?)

Well, and the detail. I love that Ronon's arm tattoo is visible, and that Todd looks fundamentally different than the other Wraith, as well. It's amazing.

That's just what I was going for. I wanted the two in the foreground to blend with the environment so the background springs to the forefront. Like a tiny moment of surprise when you watch it, to add to the tension.

Glad you like the little details. (I actually almost forgot Ronon's tatoo, but luckily with Photoshop it's no problem to edit this stuff in belatedly.)

Yeah, they make a good team. I'm somewhat anxious what Joe M. and Co have in store for Todd next season. Of course that's also what makes the appeal... not knowing if he'll turn on our guys and try to eat them in the next scene. ;)

Eeee! Gorgeous! I love the luscious shadows, the folds and details on Ronon (I could almost reach out and touch him!), Todd's hair (and how it's obviously *Todd*), the pine forest in the background and just all of it.

Dude, amazing use of ink, and I am in awe of your ability to capture the feel of moonlight. Simply stunning! Throw in the fact that it's Ronon and Todd (best scene ever from the season finale XDXD), and I totally have a new wallpaper~ <3<3.

This is simply stunning! I really love how you managed to convey the alienness in the other wraith compared with 'our' wraith, as well as the eerieness (is that a word? meh!) of their surroundings. This piece has a lot of kinetic energy in it, I can completely picture what happens just a few seconds after this snapshot!

Thanks. I was very lucky I got that prompt, the artwork wouldn't be complete without it. (I'd already planned to draw a scene similar to this one, but it had been missing something... that something turned out to be this prompt.)
