Ohhhh, new comic! YAY! Why is she back home? Just visiting or for good? I love that beadspread! Or is it a quilt? And I will probably never get used to the combination of bacon, eggs and pancakes. LOL

Ohhhh, new comic! YAY! Why is she back home? Just visiting or for good?

Ah, but that would be telling! You gotta keep reading. :)

I love that beadspread! Or is it a quilt?

Yep, something like that. I was about to do something really intricately quilt-ish, with a nice pattern, but then I realized that I wasn't masochistic enough for that...

And I will probably never get used to the combination of bacon, eggs and pancakes. LOL

I know! Maybe I should try that some time.

Yay, new comic! The nightmare opening panel is very cool.

Thanks. The nightmare panel was the easy part. Tentacles are definitely quicker to draw than interior spaces.

Yes! another dark story from R & A

Wheee. I was already getting withdrawal...

Ooh, very intriguing! :D

(btw, I can't remember if I gave a final review on the last comic -- I think it ended while I was in my fandom hiatus this winter -- but I did love it!)

So glad that you liked TLWH! :O)

Astrid, nice work.

Will you bring some original art at Comic-Con that we can look at?

Thanks!

Will you bring some original art at Comic-Con that we can look at?

Yeah, I'll probably bring some original stuff. But at this point all my original work is still children's book illustration. Though, I plan to get into original comic after all. Soon... ish. Eventually. :)

By the way, have you ever been to the big comic festival in Angouleme, in France? (I think that's where the 24-hour comic day originated, too?)

Thanks! I'll get to sketch the next pages tonight. :)

YayYayYayYay!

It looks fabulous -- I especially like the detail in the bedroom panel: the shelves with the books and the stuffed toy, the colours in the bedspread and the flowers in the vase.

(Oops, we still need a summary, too... :D)

I keep forgetting about those, don't I? Will think on this...

the colours in the bedspread

The original colors were, um, crimson and pink. It didn't even look half bad, but when I tinkered with it in Photoshop to dim down the colors, I shifted the color spectrum around just for fun and it really looks much better this way.

Beautiful layout, great title font. Just lovely, the whole page. :D

Oh, glad you like!

great title font.

Ironically my normal handwriting is getting more sloppy all the time, to the point where I have trouble deciphering it myself.

Eeee! :D A Jennifer-Teyla story! \o/ Yay!

Also, I love the juxtaposition between Jennifer's night-time fears and then the homey breakfast and dad in the next section.

Eeee! :D A Jennifer-Teyla story! \o/ Yay!

Drawing this story fills me with squee! :)

User copracat referenced to your post from Hee! saying: [...] Look what I woke up to this morning: Fear of the Dark, by Rheanna and Astrid, part one of a Jennifer and Teyla comic. I want to clap my hands with glee! In fact, I think I will. Sometimes, WsIP just make your day shiny. [...]

Yay, new comic and great start!

Oh, very nice! Love the house and Jennifer's room and dad!Keller looks like such a nice guy!

Hee. In that one framed picture in Identity, Keller's dad was played by Carl Binder. So that's of course who I modeled him after in this comic. TPTB, that's what happens when you go all meta. ;)

EEEEeee! So excited! Esp. as it's a Jennifer and Teyla story! How much do I love it already! Yay!

Yay, I'm so happy you like it. Jennifer and Teyla FTW. :) I'm really excited about this story.

I hope I'll have the next page out soon, too. I'm waiting for a client to send over some work and I don't think anything's gonna happen until after the Easter holidays... and I'm not the least bit grumpy because that means I get to draw comic without feeling guilty.

::claps::

This is AWESOME!

Brava!

*bows*
Thank you! Hope you'll like the rest as well. :)

(re: icon... haven't watched Supernatural in two seasons, but this ep I saw and I think it managed to draw me back into the show. "I'm full frontal in this"... ♥)

Ooh yay *is intrigued* I can't wait to see what's going on, and why Jennifer's back on Earth.

Glad you like! Hopefully I'll have another page in just a couple days.

Oh, very interesting beginning!

Hurrah! A new comic - gorgeous work as ever. Something v. creepy is about to happen, I think ...

Something v. creepy is about to happen, I think ...

I have no idea what would make you think that... *ominous laughter*

Yay! I love love love this already. :D

Whee, so glad you like.
(Um, is your icon by any chance gakkable?)

Oh excellent! You are so gifted.

*blushes*
(It's just practice, though.)

speaking of, back to the sketchboard...

YAY! New comic! Love the first panel especially.

Thank you. Tentacles are fun to draw, yay.

Oh wow. With drawings like that, you're going to make me LIKE Keller! Amazing art, as usual!

With drawings like that, you're going to make me LIKE Keller!

That is the evil master plan. :P
Well, okay, not really... but if that is a side effect I'm not complaining.

Glad you like the art.

very cool! I like the way you started--we know right away what part of canon we're jumping off of.
great images and story...

Glad you like! Next page will be up in two or three days, so real life allows...

NOT THE PANCAKE CLIFFHANGER!!!!

But seriously, beautiful artwork and I love Carl Binder in a supporting role. Looking forward to more. :)

NOT THE PANCAKE CLIFFHANGER!!!!

Will she put maple syrup on her pancakes, or bacon? Tune in tomorrow day after tomorrow (maybe). (Hey, there's like a whole discussion about bacon vs maple syrup upthread.) :D

The Carl Binder part amuses me, too. Heh.

oh wow, I am SO EXCITED about this. The opening is chilling and beautiful - I love where this is going. And can't wait for Teyla to show up!

Thank you! I'm already coloring the next two pages, so they should be up soon.
